The EXR 9707 Tent Package is a heavy-duty, no-drill solution engineered to turn your Jeep into a basecamp. While designed around the compact geometry of the 2-door JK, this kit is fully compatible with 4-door JKU models for owners looking for a modular, high-strength mounting system that avoids the “cage” look.
Why It Works for Both 2-Door & 4-Door
Because the Jeep JK and JKU share the same roof width and gutter profile, the 51″ Click-In Crossbars fit both models perfectly. The “secret sauce” of this kit is the Weight Distribution System, which uses nine 1.5″ feet to transfer the load of a 2–3 person tent off the gutters and onto the hardtop’s reinforced surfaces.
Pro-Tip for 4-Door (JKU) Owners: > On the longer 4-door roof, this kit provides a rock-solid front-to-mid mounting solution. Since the JKU has extra gutter length, some owners use this kit as a “short-rack” setup or add a third 51″ gutter-mount bar for an even larger footprint.
